WATER - A SOURCE OF LIFE Shenda has always had an affinity with water. A natural outcome of which has seen her interest in the design of fountains: "I think they symbolise man's dominion, in a sense, over nature. The ability to harness and fashion the source which sustains life. Fountains are the temples of the water god." |

She recently designed and built the 'Ambika Fountain' in Regents Park Zoo. It is dedicated to the memory of Ambika Paul who died of leukaemia, aged 5 years, in 1968. Lord Swaraj Paul, the benefactor of the Children's Zoo in Regents Park, chose Shenda's design over a number of sculptors who submitted designs,to sculpt the Ambika Fountain.
This memorial fountain can be seen in the Ambika Gardens of the Regents Park Children's Zoo in London.
"Fountains should be larger than life. They should be like great towering buildings, comfortable in the space they occupy, and like silent gods should burst into life when one least expects them to." From her designs it would be difficult not to be impressed. Her fountains incorporate both abstract styles and realistic animals. Water becomes the rhythm that gives them life. Magnificent designs that would truly exhilarate the passions of those who behold them.
Shenda has done many fountain designs and would be happy to show them to prospective clients. Please get in touch
