| More than ten years later Shenda was back in Downing Street, this time to do a bust of the new premier, John Major. Two earlier commissions had come from the Earl of Bessborough and Sir Francis Dashwood, Bt. The Earl, who wanted to complete a trio of busts starting with his grandfather and father, commissioned Shenda after seeing her bust of Mrs Thatcher. The Earl's bust was unveiled by Diana Rigg at Stanstead Park amid a host of guests including, among others, Lord Hailsham. |

Lady Dashwood commissioned one of her husband, Sir Francis, to mark his sixtieth birthday. "Francis is a great raconteur, and this is what I have tried to capture". The bust was unveiled during a grand ball at West Wycombe Park, where Handel's Water Music wafted over the lawns, to the accompaniment of fireworks being reflected in the lake beyond.

Of a number of American personalities she has sculpted, one holds a special place in her heart. David Dodge, of the Dodge Automobile family, commissioned her to do a bust of William Wesley Peters, the late chairman of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. He flew to London for his sittings, where the bust was also cast. But on completion the unveiling took place at the Frank Lloyd Wright Fiftieth Anniversary Dinner of the opening of Taliesin West, and it now stands outside the William Wesley Peters Library in Scottsdale.

The following year, Kamal Amin and a group of Mayor Herb Drinkwater supporters commissioned Shenda to do a bust of the mayor. "The publicity given to me in the US was unbelievable. Television and newspaper interviews followed, and I was the 'flavour of the month'." A ceremonial unveiling took place in the Civic Center, Scottsdale, where the piece stands today.
